QR codes on Smart Documents

Part of the process for generating and registering a new Smart Document involves applying a QR code in the upper right corner of the PDF. This does not occur when simply registering an existing document without generating a new Smart Document.

Embedded in the QR code is a URL specifically related to that document - it includes the unique Integra ID of the document, as well as the communication endpoint of the creator of the document. If you are using the cloud-based version of Connect software, then the endpoint will be the same cloud. If you are using a privately hosted version of Connect, then the endpoint will be within your organization (a feature that ensures total data privacy). This unique endpoint is what enables a peer-to-peer private data channel specifically related to the document. This channel enables document communication, document actions, and cross-organizational automation.

The QR code can be scanned by a mobile phone, or can be mouse-clicked to open the verification page for the document that is located at the URL of the communication endpoint.
