Legacy Document Registration applies to pre-existing documents and contracts already distributed to other parties. In contrast, a smart document with its additional features is typically created before distribution. Registering a legacy document on Integra enables blockchain authentication even after distribution. Although it won't have a QR code or metadata, others with the same document can verify its registration on the blockchain, retroactively establishing trust and authenticity.
